In My Lifetime

In my lifetime I wish to see
A world where no child grows up hungry
and permanently disadvantaged through early malnutrition

A world where the threat of nuclear destruction
is nothing more than an exotic memory

A world whose inhabitants live in dignity
and pride and no longer feel the need
to act out of cruelty vengeance or retribution.
